KUANTAN - Barisan Nasional (BN) Pahang assures that cooperation with Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the unity government will not compromise BN's principles and values.

Pahang BN chairman Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail stated that the largest Malay party continued to support the welfare of the people, national development, tolerance, and the importance of religious life.

"I guarantee this cooperation (BN-PH) will not be done in a way that forces us to compromise on our principles and beliefs all this time.

"In fact, the things that are written in the Federal Constitution which are the basis of our fight, will never be challenged and sold," he said.

He said this when speaking at the closing ceremony of the Pahang Plantations and Commodities Festival and Symposium 2022 and the Pahang Commodities Exhibition of Innovation and Technology 2022 at the Main Hall of the Pahang Tanjung Lumpur Foundation Complex here on Tuesday.

Wan Rosdy, who is also the Jelai State state assembly member, informed that the government formation with PH is in line with developments at the Federal Government level.

He explained that this would give Pahang many advantages in making the development agenda in the state a success.

In that regard, he also requested that the people evaluate the Pahang government based on the work performance that has been and will be highlighted instead of through divisive sentiments and perceptions.
