659 flood victims evacuated in Terengganu today

Terengganu Disaster Committee said as of 8am today, the victims from 168 families were placed in 11 PPS located in five districts affected by the flood.
According to the statement from the committee, the Kemaman district recorded the highest number of evacuees which is 305 victims, placed in four PPS
PPS in Kemaman currently houses 255 victims in Dewan Abd Rahman Limbong, 23 in Balai Raya Padang Kemunting, 14 in Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Baru Kerteh and 13 in SK Kemasik.
Kuala Nerus district also recorded 216 flood victims who placed in dua PPS which are SK Tok Jembal (138) and SK Bukit Nanas (78).
Another 92 victims are stationed in Kuala Terengganu; SK Atas Tol (82) and SK Chendering (10).
Meanwhile the Dungun district is the newest location affected by the flood, resulting in the establishment of two more PPS in the district since Sunday.
Some 42 flood victims are housed at SK Tok Kah (24) and Dewan Sivik Seberang Pintasan (18), meanwhile, Setiu district recorded four victims currently places at Balai Raya Kampung Merang PPS.
The statement also noted that Terenggganu is also experiencing continous rain fall in several districts in Terengganu. The information will be updated from time to time for the public.
