SHAH ALAM - The number of flood victims has increased to 2,550 involving 755 families in five states as of 7am, on Monday.

According to the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma), all the victims were placed in 29 temporary evacuation centres (PPS) which were opened in Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Perak dan Johor.

In Pahang, 11 PPS were opened in five districts for 573 flood victims involving 171 families.

Meanwhile, in Terengganu, a total of 659 victims from 168 families were placed in 11 PPS.

In Kelantan, there were five PPS to shelter 376 families with a total of 1,157 people.

Besides that, in Perak, 134 victims from 31 families were placed in one PPS.

In Johor, 27 victims involving nine families were placed in a PPS in one district.
