SHAH ALAM - MIC says they will not accept any deputy minister’s post under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim-led unity government.

MIC general secretary Rajasekaran R. Thiyagarajan said his party congratulates Anwar over his appointment and respects voter's decision in GE15.

"However, MIC committee will not be accepting any deputy minister's post in the unity government," he said in a statement.

He also said MIC will give its full support to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on unity government and expressed hope that the prime minister would carry out his duties well and in fair manner for all races in Malaysia.

Anwar unveiled his Cabinet on Dec 2 which consisted of 28 ministers.
