Stop using racial, religious sentiments to take down unity government

SHAH ALAM - PKR has urged political parties to stop using racial and religious issues to take down the newly formed unity government.

PKR Vice-President Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said fanning racial sentiments was irresponsible and could cause more unwanted problems.

"Therefore, I once again urge all relevant parties to stop playing with such issues for the sake of the future of our children and the country," he said in a Facebook post today.

The Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir previously ordered the new government and the country's political leaders to stop raising racial or religious issues to incite the society.

Tuanku Muhriz had ordered the new government that was formed after the 15th General Election (GE15) to make the best use of the opportunities available to drive the country to greater heights.

Nik Nazmi, the Setiawangsa MP said it was time for all parties to focus and solve people's problems and ensure political stability.
