SHAH ALAM - The Transport Ministry will hold a meeting with Prasarana Malaysia Bhd (Prasarana) to discuss about ways to improve public transportation services in the country.

Its minister Anthony Loke said the meeting will be held this week.

After experiencing what commuters have to go through during the peak hours, today, he said he understood the difficulties faced by the people.

He said between 5pm and 7pm, he took the time to observe the real situation of the Kelana Jaya Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) service.

The situation in the train he said was packed and it was certainly uncomfortable for the passengers.

“This evening, I spent two hours to see the real situation of the KJ LRT Line service during the peak hours. It was packed inside the train and it must be uncomfortable for the passengers.

“I did not inform the infrastructure management and the media as I wanted to experience the real situation myself, like an ordinary passenger, and I get to feel what they have to go through every day," he said in a Facebook post.
