LARUT - Perikatan Nasional (PN) describes the new cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as a mess.

Their secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the cabinet was not in line with the party's campaigning agenda in the 15th General Election (GE15).

"Many of those who were contacted either from BN or PN felt that the cabinet that was formed was a mess and erratic because something that was once deemed no, by all means, was executed.

"This only goes further to prove that in an election everything that is said was merely to seek votes, there is no sincerity or grit to prove that something said can be fulfilled.

"There were many others who were supposed to be appointed for giving victory, who won over the people but eventually the unity government happened, and now the losers are appointed," he said. That's why I said this is a messed-up cabinet," he said.

He was met at a programme held at the Tapak Bazar Ramadan in Selama here on Saturday.

Hamzah said there were still many MPs in Pakatan Harapan (PH) who were eligible to be appointed to the cabinet.

"I feel sorry for our good friends within the party who were not appointed. This proves that only those who are messed up were appointed which was already announced on (Friday).

"When something is fractious, it will be seen by the people as an unstable government. Let's see, when something's loosely bonded and we do it carelessly, a little bit of rocking and there it goes unravelled," he said.

The Larut MP said PN would be the opposition that would oppose any wrongdoing in the government's administration.

"Because of the expertise available among our MPs, we can provide views, thoughtful and reasonable arguments according to the ministries.

"We will be the opposition always looking at all the defaults, we fight for the people so that the people understand that we are responsible for determining that this country is really being steered towards a better future," he said.
