Pas Vice President Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said all the decisions made would be made in the PN central level meeting as soon as possible.
" It has not been decided yet (who will be the leader of the opposition) however, we will discuss it and afterwards PN will decide on who would be the opposition chief.
"We are capable of being a strong opposition bloc because we have won 17 Pahang state seats and we will discuss on how to be a capable and active opposition in the state assembly ," he said when met reporters after giving a ceramah ( talk) at Bandar Baru Rompin, midnight, on Tuesday.
For the first time in history Pahang had failed to establish a state government as no political party had managed to obtain a majority in the the 15th General Election (GE15).
The elections saw PN winning 17 seats, Barisan Nasional (BN) managing to secure 16 seats while Pakatan Harapan (PH) won eight seats. Not included in the line up is the Tioman state seat which will be contested on
Dec 7.
Ibrahim described the results of the election as a wave of change from youth voters who wanted a stable and clean government.
"Why did they cast their votes for PN, its because they evaluated our performance, that's why they're confident on what we can achieve. That's why the wave of change happened towards the youth. They actually want a stabe and clean government," he said.
