SHAH ALAM - The country’s important institutions are in danger if senior government officers are dismissed due to Pakatan Harapan (PH) government’s political revenge.

In a facebook post, Bersatu information chief, Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan said Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should give an immediate guarantee that the government will not penalise its senior officers as they please.

“ I am a bit worried because in the Prime Minister’s first meeting with civil servants, he failed to guarantee that the PH government won’t conduct a ‘witch hunt’ on government officers.

“ We all still remember how Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR)'s vice president, Rafizi Ramli, arrogantly threatened to find public servants who were just doing their jobs.

“Will revenge continue to be part of the Pakatan Harapan government’s policy’? Not to mention now that the word on the street is that Rafizi is lobbying to become the Finance Minister,” he wrote.

According to him, if such vengeful values were brought into the government it will affect the country’s administration.

“So, is it possible that provisions will be cut if he does not favour a certain individual? “May Allah look after and protect the civil servants who carry out their responsibilities to their country and religion with sincerity and dedication,” he said.

On Nov 17, it was reported that PKR vice president, Rafizi Ramli gave a warning to the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki after the agency raided his company, Invoke.

However, Anwar in a monthly gathering with civil servants at Dataran Perdana Putra in Putrajaya on Tuesday, asserted that he is not interested in digging up old stories in the past government administration.

He said, the more important thing now is to restore the image of public servants which have been been deteriorating.
