PUTRAJAYA - The soon-to-be appointed ministers of the Unity Government need to respect every civil servant, especially those with experience in their respective fields.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that the success achieved by a minister is the result of having a strong team of civil servants.

"I advise my friends who will be appointed to respect the process," he said in a speech at a meeting with the Prime Minister's Department on Tuesday.

He recalled when he served as a minister in several ministries and shared his experience benefiting from experienced officials.

" Firstly listen to the views of officers who have experience and specialisation in their fields.

" If there are counter-suggestions and reprimands, they are made after I have understood what had happened based on their experience." he said.

Anwar had previously stated he would announce the Cabinet list soon, he said he did want to take a hasty approach in forming his administration
