KUANTAN - Pakatan Harapan (PH) Pahang has reached a unanimous agreement to formally support the formation of a state government together with Barisan Nasional (BN).

PH Pahang Chairman Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said this was the result of a meeting he chaired on Saturday.

According to Amirudin, the decision was strengthened by the total number of State Assembly seats won by BN (16 seats) and PH (8 seats) out of the 41 seats contested, which exceeded the simple majority required to form the state government.

"We hope that the new Pahang state government can be formed to ensure that the administration of the state government runs smoothly for the benefit of the people," he said in a statement on Saturday.

In GE15 on Nov 19, Perikatan Nasional (PN) Pahang won 17 seats out of the 41 seats in the Pahang state legislative assembly and will form the opposition bloc in the state.
