Covid-19: 3,024 new cases, eight deaths

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia records a total of 3,024 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday, with seven of them being imported cases, making the total number of active cases 26,903.

The KKMNOW portal reported that 92 percent, or 24,752 cases, were individuals quarantined at home, while another 10 were at the Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Center (PKRC).

The data also stated that a total of 2,049 Covid-19 cases received hospital treatment, with 92 patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).

Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases recorded on Friday was 2,969, making the cumulative number 4,917,827.

At the same time, the country also recorded eight new deaths, with two of them being deaths outside the hospital or ‘brought-in-dead’ (BID).
