KAJANG - The deputy prime minister's post will be given to Barisan Nasional as it is the biggest winning party after Pakatan Harapan, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He said in Borneo the biggest winning was GPS.

The Tambun MP was speaking during his first press conference after being sworn-in at Istana Negara as the country's premier at 5pm today.

The swearing-in ceremony ends the days of political deadlock as Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin-lead Perikatan Nasional claimed that they had 115 MPs supporting him as the 10th Prime Minister.

However, after a special meeting between Malay Rulers this morning, Istana Negara announced that Anwar will be the prime minister.

This comes after Barisan Nasional with 30 MPs and Sarawak's GPS with 22 MPs had back Anwar as the premier.
