He said the SDs were from 72 PN MPs, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS, 22), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS, 6), Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM, 1), BN (10) and two independent candidates.
Due to that, he called on Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to show prove he has the majority of support to form a government.
"We wait. He should show prove that he has the majority support with SDs.
"I had submitted the names with SD's. We followed as per requirement as stated by Dewan Rakyat speaker.
"It should not be plucked from air," he said during a press conference as Anwar is at Istana Negara to be sworn in as the 10th Prime Minister today.
He further said on Nov 20, a day after elections Dewan Rakyat speaker Datuk Seri Azhar Azizan Harun had written a letter to party presidents to state the coalitions and their choice of prime minister.
"We had sent letter that stating Bersatu, Pas, GPS, GRS, KDM agreeing to form a coalition government under Perikatan Nasional coalition."
He said 114 SDs backing him as the prime minister without any conditions were submitted. "The docuements were sent to Istana Negara at 1.28pm on Nov 22, as per required by Dewan speaker."
He said the documents were confirmed by the Istana.
"I believed I had the the majority at that time. But about 1.30pm on the same day, Istana Negara had announced to extend deadline to the next day at 2pm.
"On Nov 22, at around 10.30am, PN's secretary general had again submitted SDs backing me as the prime minister. I had 115 MPs which is above the simple majority of 112 MPs to be the prime minister."
The Pagoh MP further said Istana Negara had released a statement that Anwar is said to have the majority support and will be appointed as the prime minister.
"Anwar as the prime minister should now show that he has the majority as required by Dewan Rakyat Speaker," Muhyiddin added.
