PETALING JAYA - Several members of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders were seen cheering and hugging at the compound of its president, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's office in Jalan Gasing on Thursday.

The action ensued following the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah's approval of Anwar being appointed as the 10th Prime Minister.

The cheer, along with the chants of ‘Reformasi’ was heard as soon as the gate of Anwar's office was opened.

Among those who cheered was the Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) chief Adam Adli Abdul Halim.

In the meantime, several PKR members had also gathered at the compound of the PH chairman's office to recite a prayer.

On Thursday, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah approved Anwar to be appointed as the 10th Prime Minister.

Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin in a statement on Thursday said the swearing-in ceremony was scheduled at 5pm this afternoon at Istana Negara.
