PH more gentleman and civilised with us than PN -- Umno youth chief
LILYANA RIZALSHAH ALAM – Umno youth chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has decribed Pakatan Harapan (PH) as being more gentlemany in wooing Barisan Nasional's (BN) support compared to Perikatan Nasional (PN)
According to Asyraf Wajdi, such was so as unlike PN which has been engaging in a hush-hush deal to secure backings from BN MPs, PH on the other hand, had a proper meeting with BN leaders.
"PN still sticks to their old ways by trying to deal in secret and to get 10 BN MPs to sign Statutory Declarations (SD) to support Tan Sri Muhyididn as PM,” he said in a Facebook post.
He explained that PN's actions were the reason why the official BN meeting with the said coalition that was initially scheduled two days ago had to be postponed multiple times.
"It was not until the 10 SDs that were signed by BN MPs were rescinded on orders by the BN Supreme Council that they finally set the meeting for today (Nov 23) at 3.30 pm," he said.
The BN-PN meeting at St. Regis was called only after BN MPs were summoned to Istana Negara by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong today where they officially informed the latter that PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin did not have enough parliamentarian support to form government and be Prime Minister.
“Actually, this meeting in line with the stance of BN’s Supreme Council to be open minded in meeting and negotiating with the two largest party coalitions, PH and PN, to discuss about the Unity Government.
"The Supreme Council will refine both PH and PN’s offers at once and comply with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s orders that BN is to give support to form a Unity Government," said Asyraf.
Tomorrow, the YDPA will have an audience with his brother rulers at 10.30am to resolve the political deadlock which has been plaguing the country over the past four days.
