Covid-19: 2,516 new cases, 11 deaths recorded

SHAH ALAM - A total of 2,516 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the last 24-hours, including three imported cases.

It brings the total number of infections in the country to 4,971,936 cases since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

According to data from the health ministry's KKMNOW portal, a total of 11 deaths were reported, including seven brought-in-dead (BID).

The brings the total number of deaths to 36,620 cases.

There were 27,003 active cases, with 25,071 or 92.8 per cent of them quarantined at home.

No patients were placed in the Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Center (PKRC) while a total of 1,839 patients were placed in hospitals with 93 of them admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
