Both of them were summoned by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, earlier as none of the Prime Minister candidates from both coalitions have enough majority support to be appointed to the post.

His Royal Highness in a statement also advised Malaysians to be calm and collected until the process of forming the next government and the appointment of Malaysia's 10th Prime Minister were resolved.

GE15 which was held on Saturday ended in a hung parliament with no party securing a clear majority to form the new federal government.

PH has won the most seats with 82, followed by PN (73) Barisan Nasional (30), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (22), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (seven) and others (six).
