GE15: PN confirms receiving another SD backing Muhyiddin

SHAH ALAM - With less than two hours left before the deadline for political parties to inform Istana Negara of the agreed coalition for the new government and prime minister (PM) candidate, Perikatan Nasional (PN) confirms it received another statutory declaration (SD) to allow the coalition to form a government.
Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin in a statement, today, claimed that another MP has signed an SD backing its chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to be PM.
"PN received another SD from another MP expressing confidence in Muhyiddin to be appointed as the 10th PM.
"The SD was submitted to Istana Negara this morning," he said.
On Monday Istana Negara announced that the deadline for political parties to submit their coalition numbers and candidates for the post of PM was extended to 2pm, today.
However, PN announced that it had submitted the SD to Istana Negara to form the federal government after claiming to have the support of 112 MPs.
