Muhyiddin's residence becomes centre of attention as PN leaders arrive

KUALA LUMPUR - Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu arrives at Perikatan Nasional (PN) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's residence in Bukit Damansara, here, today.

Faizal arrived in a black BMW at about 10.05am.

He however did not give any comments to the media personnel who were waiting at the vicinity of the house, since this morning.

Earlier, a string of vehicles escorted by police cars were seen entering Muhyiddin's residence at 9.50am.

Those inside the vehicles were believed to be PN deputy chairman Tan Sri Hadi Awang and Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin.

Yesterday, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah granted an extension of the deadline for leaders of political parties and coalitions to inform Istana Negara of the agreed combination of political parties to form the next government and to submit the name of the prime minister candidate.

The deadline which was supposed to be at 2pm, yesterday, has been extended to 2pm, today.

The extension was granted upon the request by some political parties.
