KUALA LUMPUR - Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirms that he is the sole candidate for Prime Minister in joint negotiations with Barisan Nasional (BN) earlier today.

He said BN did not propose any other name during the discussions with the coalition.

“Well yes, I am the prime minister candidate.

"For my main choice for the Deputy Prime Minister’s post, let me assume premiership first," he said at a press conference with the PH leadership at a hotel here on Monday.

Earlier today, Barisan Nasional (BN) and PH top leaders were having a meeting at Seri Pacific Hotel, to discuss about forming a coalition for GE15.

However, Anwar said that BN need more time before coming into a strong decision.

“This has not been conclusive, they (BN) want to go through this process by meetings among themselves before making a decision,” he said.

Also present at the press conference were DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke, Amanah deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (Upko) president Datuk Seri Dr Wilfred Madius Tangau.
