Anti-hopping law should be guidance for parties, says Azalina
KUALA LUMPUR - Barisan Nasional (BN) Pengerang MP Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said the anti-party hopping law should be a guidance for all political parties.
She reminded MPs to remember the existence of the law in making any decisions.
“As an MP, we must remember that we are contesting with the existence of the anti-hopping law.
“That should be our guidance,” she told reporters when met at the Seri Pacific Hotel, here, today.
It is expected that today, the cooperation between BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) will be finalised.
This was after both leaders of the coalitions were said to be having a meeting at the hotel, this morning.
Some of the top Umno leaders have also arrived at the hotel for the meeting.
Yesterday, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) president Abang Johari said that the party will join hands with Perikatan Nasional (PN), BN and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to form the next federal government.
GPS also confirmed that PN chaiman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was its Prime Minister candidate.
Meanwhile, BN denied claims that it had a discussion with GPS in which both had agreed to form the government with PN.
The 15th General Election (GE15) held on Saturday ended in a hung parliament with no party securing a clear majority to form the new federal government.
