GE15: Malaysians voted for corrupt free candidates to repair country's future
LILYANA RIZALSHAH ALAM – The 15th General Election result shows Malaysians have chosen to vote for clean candidates, said #RasuahBusters.
#RasuahBusters said Malaysians picked their favourites based on who they thought were clean parties and candidates in GE15.
In a statement issued today, they said their calls for Malaysians to reject corrupted leaders or those who failed to perform transparently were well received by the voters who casted their ballots yesterday.
They said voters proved that they were still the "boss" in GE15 as their votes could determine who could govern the country with accountability, honesty and integrity.
“The process of repairing our nation was initiated by Malaysians with their decision yesterday,” they said.
However, this also posed a challenge for the government and winning candidates to fulfil the manifestos they promised, as part of their duty to the people.
They said that any decision or cooperation made to form the new government should be done for the sake of the people and the government should always put the interests of the people first.
#RasuahBusters added that they would continue pushing the government to conduct institutional reform, improve the education system, manage issues of flooding, finance and commodity prices, increase investments and so forth with total transparency, integrity and freedom of corruption.
