KUALA LUMPUR - Datuk Seri Noh Omar has quit from his post as Selangor Umno chief after the party's poor performance in Nov 19 polls yesterday.

In a press conference at party headquarters, he said he has lost confidence in Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

"He does not have confidence in me. I too don't have confidence in him.

He too should resign just as how Najib Razak had resigned (after 2018 polls)," he told reporters today.

"Let new blood take over," he said, adding that Zahid only win with a slim majority in Bagan Datuk parliamentary seat.

Umno Infomation chief Shahril Hamdan also quit his post earlier today.
