GE15: Endgame for KJ in Sungai Buloh

SHAH ALAM – Barisan Nasional Khairy Jamaluddin loses to Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Datuk R Ramanan with 2,963 majority.

In the official result revealed by the Election Commission (EC), Ramanan received a total of 50,943 votes while Khairy received 48,250 votes.

Perikatan Nasional candidate received 29,060 votes, Pejuang Mohd Akmal Mohd Yusoff received 829 votes, Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) Ahmad Jufliz Faiza received 279 votes, Syed Abdul Razak Syed Long Alsagoff (165 votes) and independent candidate Nurhaslinda Basri (113 votes).

Sungai Buloh was a PH stronghold, where BN had lost by more than 26,000 votes in the constituency in the 2018 general election.

Khairy had previously said that the Sungai Buloh constituency would not be a walk in the park.

In 2018, Pakatan Harapan’s R Sivarasa won the seat with a majority of 26,634 votes.

He is not being fielded this time around.
