Umno secretary-general, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan captures Pontian
PONTIAN - Umno secretary-general, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan emerged victorious in Pontian with a majority of 5,758 votes in the 15th General Election (GE15)

Ahmad, who has also held the seat for the past three terms, garnered 23,201 votes defeating the Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate, Datuk Isa Ab Hamid who garnered 17,443 votes.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Shazwan Zainal gained 15,901 votes while Pejuang candidate Jamaludin Mohamad only managed to garner 306 votes.
