GE15: Hadi leading in Marang

MARANG - The unofficial results for the Marang Parliament in the15th General Election (GE15) witness the Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang leading with 18,083 votes as of 8.40pm.
He obtained 31,129 votes towering over Jasmira Othman (BN) who gained 13,046, Azhar Ab Shukur (Pakatan Harapan) with 1,562 votes while Dr Zarawi Sulong (Gerakan Tanah Air) gained 207 votes.
A total of 99 ballot boxes from the overall 233 boxes in the constituency had been received in the official vote tallying centre in the District Office and Tanah Marang.
There were 131,756 voters registered in the Marang Parliament including 743 early voters based on the voting statistics.
In GE14 Abdul Hadi who was the incumbent f the Marang Parliamentary seat had obtained 53,749 votes with a majority of 21,954 defeating the BN candidate Mohamad Nor Endot (31,795 votes) and PH candidate Zarawi Sulong (5,138 votes).
