MySPR site access issues - EC releases an explanation
SHAH ALAM - The Election Commission (EC) explained that the disruption on the MySPR Semak website was due to high traffic.
In a statement today the EC informed that its the web page had gained high hits until it breached the threshold, exceeding 2.5 million per second causing it to be inaccessible to users.
"This caused the congestion and interruptions in accessing the MySPR Semak application and portal. The EC has maximised the use of available servers to overcome this problem," the statement stated.
As an alternative the EC said voters could check their voting information through the EC hotline 03- 88927218 or check their information at the polling stations.
Many had complained that they could not access the site from 8am today, however the website has been reported to already be accessible this evening. A total of 21.2 million Malaysians are eligible to vote in the 15th General Election (GE15)
