JOHOR BAHRU - Two female voters including one senior citizen died at two separate polling centres here today. One passed away here and another passed away in Kluang.

In a statement the Johor election commission stated that Juhara Syed Mohamad, 57, died after voting at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Sultan Ismail here at 9.30am.

" She voted for the Pulai Parliamentary seat. She suddenly suffered from shortness of breath before she suddenly died.

" She looked unwell when she had come in according to the polling centre attendant but wanted to continue voting." the statement read.

Meanwhile the other voter who died was a senior citizen, Tuminah Ambiah, 85, who was supposed to vote at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Lit Terk. She died at 10.30am.

"The voter did not manage to vote, the Ministry of Health (MOH) staff were at the scene and confirmed she had died after an ambulance arrived at the scene.

" Tuminah was supposed to vote for the Sembrong Parliamentary seat," according to the statement while at a polling centre in two separate incidents in Kluang and Johor Bahru today.
