GE15: Non-Malays support shifting towards BN - Pagoh Umno chief
SINAR HARIAN REPORTERPAGOH - Barisan Nasional (BN) is confident that non-Malay voters is moving their support towards them in the 15th General Election (GE15) primarily in the Pagoh Parliamentary seat.
Pagoh Umno Division chief Ismail Mohamed said the measurement that backed up the statement was based on the presence of many non-Malay voters in the programme organised by BN at the Parliamentary seat.
"We will see later compared to what we are doing for these few days, the wave of non-Malays has risen.
"In a non-Malay programme, if we want to get even 500 Chinese to attend was difficult but recently the Johor Menteri Besar programme, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi in Pagoh had pulled over 2,000 people (non-Malays) coming to the programme," he said to Sinar Harian.
Ismail said however, the support of Malay voters in Pagoh was seen as balanced between BN and Perikatan National (PN).
"There are a few similarities that go up and down.
"Whatever it is, I am confident that all in Pagoh wanted a change, they want a younger and energetic candidate to lead the development as well as unity in the Pagoh Parliament level," he said.
Ismail implored all the youth and voters in Pagoh to come back and vote tomorrow.
He hoped for voters abroad to come back and perform their responsibilities as voters.
"Don't forget to bring a copy of your identification card and I plead for you to choose a party that protects the people's welfare," he said.
Polling day would take place tomorrow.
