Covid-19: Malaysia records 3,457 new cases, 9 deaths
SHAH ALAM - Malaysia records 3,457 Covid-19 cases with nine deaths on Thursday.
The cases had increased by 147 cases compared to the 3,300 cases and eight deaths reported by the Health Ministry (MoH) on Wednesday.
Data from KKMNOW stated the new infections involved 3,455 local cases with two imported cases.
The total number of cases had raised Malaysia's Covid-19 infection numbers to 4,960,179 cases and 36,583 deaths.
The new deaths recorded had not involved deaths outside of hospital facilities or brought in dead (BID).
From the nine total deaths, three were recorded in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Sabah recorded two cases in each state while Pahang and Perak recorded one case in each state.
This totaled the active cases to 27,877 including 89 patients placed in the intensive care unit (ICU) with 46 required ventilator support.
A total of 25,818 patients were undergoing home quarantine with 1,970 patients placed in hospitals.
Malaysia recorded 3,736 recoveries bringing the total number of individuals cured to 4,895,719 cases.
