Customs release a notice to inspect Invoke’s tax documents
SHAH ALAM - The Customs Department releases a notice for the Invoke Solutions Sdn Bhd regarding notification of the inspection of tax-related documents.
The customs in the statement said the inspection involve the company’s service tax where the since it has been registered under the Service Tax Act 2018.
"The inspection of documents that will be made is a routine procedure for the purpose of audit verification as well as advisory services on the SST-02 Statement Declaration that has been made by the company.
"There have been no raids by customs on the Invoke Solution company until today," it said on Thursday.
The statement said the customs advised the public not to arbitrarily issue statements based on speculations and rumours that could affect the credibility of the department.
On Wednesday, a local portal reported that the customs would raid the office of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Deputy President Rafizi Ramli after the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) carried out the action.
The MACC's presence at his office led Rafizi to claim that the MACC raided his company's premises with a political motive.
Meanwhile, the MACC Investigation Division Senior Officer Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hashim said he was present at the office of the company to take several documents regarding the investigations on the company on Tuesday, and was a routine procedure.
