GE15: PKR all geared up for Nov 19

AMPANG – Heavy downpours and puddles did not stop the Pakatan Harapan (PH) supporters from standing their ground and listen to what the party leaders have to say during the last round-up of Jelajah Anwar Ibrahim Selangor yesterday.
The ceramah, which is a part of PH’s Jelajah Mega was held at Dewan Serbaguna MPAJ AU2 saw many supporters undeterred by the rain, which might made Malaysians wonder if the coalition would be able to claim victory in the 15th General Election (GE15) this Saturday.
Supporters of the party were not only Malays, but also Chinese and Indian with varieties of age ranges who came to show their support.
What is more amusing was the chants of Reformasi which echoed at the venue – injected the spirit of the voters to be more enthusiastic in the tough and close battle of the coalitions in deciding who will be ruling Putrajaya.
When PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim made an appearance and spoke about the former PKR deputy president who turned Bersatu’s supreme council member, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.
Azmin is now contesting for Gombak seat under Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) ticket.
“Those who betrayed us should be pushed out.
“In 2018, the rakyat chose Harapan, PKR is a symbol for hope. At that time was our party, how come we can leave that behind?” he questioned.
He further talked about the Islamic parties, which spread name-calling between races and separated the Chinese and Malays, which Anwar described should not happen as Malaysians should live as a team.
“We can disagree with DAP but don’t slander them, this is contrary to our religion.
“It’s no longer a political way, but an action of someone that’s very obsessed with politics,” said Anwar.
As the former Finance Minister and Malaysia’s deputy prime minister, Anwar aimed to increase the economy, for farmers to develop more profit and also address the issue of high living costs that became a burden to the people.
“If we win this Nov 20 we will give back the farmer’s profit because there are interests, the palm oil price is expensive,” he said.
Concluding his speech, Anwar urged supporters to save and fight for the future of the country at the national polls.
Apart from Anwar, PH leaders such as DAP’s Anthony Loke, Gobind Singh Deo, Muda’s president, Syed Saddiq and PKR’s vice president, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
It was the last stop for the day, where the top leadership had campaigned since morning, starting from Selayang, Hulu Selangor, Petaling Jaya and Subang parliaments.
Moving forward, the Jelajah Anwar Ibrahim Selangor would also travel to Kapar, Sungai Buloh, Ampang and Pandan parliaments before they engaged with residents from Gombak
