SHAH ALAM - The voting process for the Padang Serai Parliamentary Seat will be postponed to another date.

Election analyst Dr G Manimaran said, the Election Commission (EC) will make a decision regarding the new date for the voting process.

Meanwhile, the candidates who are were contesting will remain and are eligible to run for the seat.

The Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Padang Serai Parliament seat in Kedah, M Karupaiya, died on Wednesday of a heart attack.

The deceased, who was a member of PKR, won the seat in 2018 general election after defeating Leong Yong Kong from MCA and Muhammad Sobri Osman from Pas.

Karupaiya was expected to face MIC's C Sivaraaajh and three others in the upcoming polls on Nov 19.
