'MACC raided my office' - Rafizi
SHAH ALAM - PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli claims that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) raided his company, Invoke Solutions Sdn Bhd on Tuesday.
Rafizi said this followed his revelation on the littoral combat ships (LCS) project scandal and on the flood mitigation project worth RM2 billion along with evidence.
However, he claimed that the matters were not investigated by MACC.
"Today, while I was campaigning, the MACC came to my office, detained my staff for seven hours. When I talked about the RM2 billion scandal (flood mitigation project), they said they were not investigating that.
"When we talked about LCS and showed evidence about Datuk Abdul Latiff Ahmad (former deputy defence minister), and the RM200 million that went to a fake company, they said they did not investigate it.
"Every sen involving my company belonged to me and the investors, not the people’s money. I took my own pocket money and paid 150 people who are intelligent to educate them in business.
"MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki sent his officers to raid my office. Until 9pm, last night, my staff were still being disturbed," he said while delivering his speech at the “Ayuh Malaysia, Kita Boleh” mega ceramah at Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, last night.
Previously, it was reported that the MACC announced that it would open an investigation paper over Rafizi's property declaration, following a report made by a non-governmental organisation (NGO) regarding the declaration by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Pandan Parliament.
