KUALA LUMPUR – City police chief Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said preparing for the floods is one of their processes in facing the catastrophe at this time of the year.

He said police personnel would observe to see whether there would be any necessity for them to conduct the rescue process during the monsoon season.

“Preparing to face the flood would definitely be one of our processes.

“If there is any necessity for us to conduct the rescue process in the event of floods, we are ready,” he told reporters here, today.

He said that in Kuala Lumpur specifically, the people were faced with flash floods so they were ready to provide sufficient human resources to provide assistance

He further added that they would still help the flood victims even if it was not during the 15th General Election (GE15) season.

“However, in KL, we are facing flash floods so we are ready with our human resources.

“We will still help even if it's not during the election,” he added.
