GE15: Ku Nan denies promising out-of-constituency voters RM300

PUTRAJAYA - Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Putrajaya parliamentary seat Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor denies a viral message saying that out-of-constituency voters are promised RM300 if they return to Putrajaya to vote.

He said the message was an evil and slanderous act towards him.

"I will not give money because it is wrong under the Election Offences Act 1954," he said.

He said the parties involved should stop with the dirty tactics.

"I believe that during these last moments (of the campaign) more defamatory remarks will be made.

"I hope those who are contesting would not defame anyone in any way," he said when met by reporters after observing the situation during early voting day at the Putrajaya District Police Headquarters (IPD), here on Tuesday.

He said he has lodged a police report over the defamatory remarks.

"I don't know what was the reason the other party had done so. I just hope they would stop it,” he said.

Tengku Adnan's election machinery previously lodged two police reports over campaign posters being vandalised using paint by irresponsible parties.
