LARUT - Bersatu Secretary-General Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin states that the candidates and leadership for Perikatan Nasional (PN) are not the same as Barisan Nasional's (BN) leadership.

He said Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan's statement that reminded Bersatu not to act holy should not have been issued and asked whether the Umno Deputy President had ever come to his home to ask for assistance.

"If he said Bersatu was acting clean, please ask him. Was there a time in April 2019, where he came to my house, asked for assistance. That is the only question for him to answer," he said when met at the visit to the Kampung Sungai Rambutan district voting centre, here, on Monday.

He said the fact was that Bersatu placed all candidates among the leadership that did not have problems and were clean from court cases.

"That is the comparison between PN and BN. I want to inform you that it is not the same. I don't want to raise any issues, so let’s not raise issues such as PN is the only party that is the same as them." he said.

Mohamad, who was the BN Election Director, was reported to have reminded Bersatu not to act holy considering the party had conspired with Pakatan Harapan (PH) to deceive the people in the 14th General Election (GE14).

He wanted the people to evaluate the sins Bersatu had done in the coalition even though the party was now under PN.

Meanwhile, Hamzah the incumbent of Larut Parliament said the issue involved BN leadership was not a matter raised by PN and Bersatu, but revealed by their president himself.

"Maybe he had started to become afraid and made up stories that were not true when this matter was spoken by the president himself, not our circle (PN).

"The president said Tok Mat Hassan will go in (jail), if it was true he will be in, what would be the case? We’re just waning him (Tok Mat Hassan)," he said.

Meanwhile, Home Ministry issued a warning to Perak DAP Chairman Nga Kor Ming not to release statement that could spark any sensitive issues of certain groups.

Hamzah said the statement that the country would become similar to Afghanistan and the Taliban group under the PN administration led by Pas could cause fear and riots.

"If he said Afghanistan, Taliban and such, I think he would be the most shallow-minded leader because he would only use fear and spark the spirits of certain groups.

"If anyone is involved in a riot due to the nature of his statement, I will make a police report and I ask for police to take action against him," he said.

Taken from a report from a news portal, the incumbent of Teluk Intan Parliament gave the warning that the Malaysian administration would become the same as the 'Taliban country' to ensure non-Muslim voters would not vote for PN.
