PETALING JAYA - The allegations that DAP former Damansara member of parliament Tony Pua was involved in a procurement of a project from THiJARI when Pakatan Harapan were in power is false.

THiJARI is a company under Tabung Haji that manages its network of digital services. Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) is a statutory body governed by the Tabung Haji Act 1995 (Act 535). TH's main activities are Hajj management, depository services and investment.

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy president, Rafizi Ramli said Tony had nothing to do with the Cyber Village company that allegedly won the tender because he had sold all his assets in the company since 2006.

Rafizi added that he did not know the background of the company and its connection with another company that manages the banking system, namely Silverlake.

"Silverlake is a successful Malaysian company involved in developing banking systems. They have customers all over Malaysia and other countries.

"I don't know if this Cyber Village has been bought by Silverlake or not. Anyway, Tabung Haji has to answer this issue," he told Sinar Harian here, on Monday.

Rafizi claimed that the issue has been brought to light by the opposition as the date for the 15th General Election (GE15) draws near.

" It is an attack from the opposition who want to continue the propaganda that PH is ruining Tabung Haji. This issue is a hilarious thing. We don't have time to answer accusations from immature people. This is the problem of a bitter child.

"If there is something wrong, this party that is accusing needs to make a report. I have no interest in Silverlake," he stressed.
