Rozabil's manifesto incorporates voices of young people
SITI NURAZLINA JAMALUDINARAU - The manifesto and offer of the BN candidate for the Arau Parliament Datuk Rozabil Abdul Rahman was drafted based on the voices of the grassroots, especially the youth.
Rozabil, affectionately known as Tok Ben, said that the voice and views of young people were taken into account in the formation of the core of his manifesto.
"The feedback from residents and voters in the Arau received throughout the campaign is getting better and more positive.
"I have understood the wishes and needs of the people in Arau area after a week of meeting them more closely.
"Young people, for instance, they don't expect sudden development but there are some issues that they focus on and are related to job opportunities and special facilities for them," he said after conducting a friendly survey programme in Titi Chai, here on Sunday.
In another development, Rozabil asked voters to give a chance to BN's new candidates who were committed to create a country free of corruption.
Rozabil said that the programmes for the cultivation of integrity and the prevention of corruption were among the agendas that young candidates in Umno wanted to highlight.
"Young BN candidates like me want to create and implement things like this (integrity culture and corruption prevention programme) from the grassroots level.
"We want integrity to become a culture among young leaders so that we do not fall into matters related to corruption.
"I, along with the entire line of young BN leaders, want to create a new (corruption-free) Malaysia and I will start this mission in the Arau Parliament," he said.
