Woman killed, six others injured in a car-trailer crash

SUNGAI BULOH – A 38-year-old woman was killed while six others sustained injuries in an accident involving a car and a trailer which took place near Restoran Jejantas Sungai Buloh this morning.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said in the 6am incident, the family of seven had travelled in a Honda Accord when it crashed into a trailer in the same lane.

The department received a distress call at 6.10am and six firemen were deployed to the scene.

“Due to the impact of the collision, two victims (husband and wife) sustained severe injuries and the woman was pinned in the front passenger seat.

“She was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical practitioners who were present,” he said in a statement.

Norazam said the husband of the deceased, a 50-year-old man sustained severe injuries while their children comprised of 11-year-old and eight-year-old daughters, six-year-old son and eight-month-old pair of twin sons sustained minor injuries.

All victims were transported to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment.
