Sentul Utama residents fancy Prabakaran defending Batu
SENTUL - Sentul Utama residents are rooting for P. Prabakaran to defend his Batu parliamentary seat for the second time.
Sinar Daily’s survey on the ground showed that many locals supported Pakatan Harapan (PH) and trusted that the coalition’s candidate was the best choice to represent them at the national level.
Local resident Major Johari Baba said Prabakaran has been works day and night serving the people of Batu.
"We are rooting for Prabakaran. He has been working day and night also he has been working since he is elected.
“The other candidates come from various places, one is from Sabah. Locals are not familiar with them.
“How can we vote for a candidate that we do not know? I believe Prabakaran would do better in his next term.
"The community saw how Prabakaran helped us last time in terms of upgrading roads and buildings as well as catering to the needs of the people without relying on government allocations," he told Sinar Daily.
Meanwhile, born and bred “Sentulians” who only wanted to be known Aliszin and Alicetari hopes the future representative would resolve issues in terms of infrastructure and businesses.
"We hope there would be more changes, doesn’t matter in Sentul or the whole nation.
"We want the future MP to help everyone without seeing the skin colour and status of living," they said.
Batu created history after recording the highest number of candidates since 1955 with a 10-cornered battle,
In addition to Prabakaran, the clash also involves four independent candidates and five other candidates, from Datuk A. Kohilan Pillay (BN-MIC); Azhar Yahya (PN-PAS); Wan Azliana Wan Adnan (GTA-Pejuang); Naganathan Pillai (Warisan) and Zulkifli Fattah (PRM).
Batu has the largest number of independent candidates in a single seat that includes re-emergence of Tian Chua Tian; lawyer Siti Zabedah Kasim, better known as Siti Kasim; and social media influencer, Nur Fathiah Syazwana Shaharudin, better known as Cleopatra and Too Cheng Huat.
