GE15: Not an easy path for BN - Annuar Musa
NORADILA MAHAMAD
KUALA TERENGGANU - The viewpoint that the 15th General Election (GE15) would be a simple, straightforward election is wrong.
Kelantan Ketereh Umno Division Chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the challenges faced by BN was significant.
“Truthfully, if my friends in BN feel this will be an easy election, I think we are wrong. This time we are faced with many issues that were not present previously.
“Firstly, we face a high number of young voters, voting at the age of 18. Secondly, we have gone through the episode of three government changes causing the people to make their own evaluation of all three,” he told reporters after meeting BN supporters in Kampung Pulau Bahagia on Friday.
Annuar said the internal problems in Umno itself also needed to be managed well.
“I feel this election would be challenging and not at all straightforward. Umno machineries especially in the headquarters need to really double up their efforts,” the former Ketereh MP said.
He warned fellow BN candidates not to be overconfident as the competition given by the other parties were quite intense.
" The competition will be quite intense in certain areas, but what is for sure is BN, PN and PH are giving it their all in most places and the voters will be divided,” he said.
