Prepared to deal with floods in Kuala Selangor, says BN candidate Zafrul

KUALA SELANGOR - BN Kuala Selangor is prepared for any possibility of flooding during the 15th General Election (GE15).

BN candidate for the Kuala Selangor Parliament Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz said close cooperation between related government agencies is expected to help solve problems faced by the residents.

In fact, he said, the BN machinery also 'went to the ground' to find out the form of aid needed during disasters.

"We have also contacted the fire department to find out about the flood situation in Kuala Selangor and the Irrigation and Drainage Department to solve the problem of clogged drains or ditches," he said in a press conference in Ijok on Friday.

In the meantime, Tengku Zafrul said that floods hit several areas in Kuala Selangor on Friday but was still manageable as compared to last year.

However, he said, the situation should not be taken lightly, instead, it is necessary to prepare all aspects of the disaster.
