The UMNO deputy president said this change in attitude was not only evident now but also demonstrated in several by-elections and state elections in Melaka and Johor in addition to a survey on the attitude of voters that was carried out.
"The attitude now is not like it was in 2018. When they saw you wearing a shirt with the ‘dacing’ (scale) logo, they avoided you. When you went to a store, they rushed inside but now they are waiting for us outside, that is the body language that we can read,” he said, adding that this positive change is happening throughout the country.
He told reporters this after a walkabout in Pekan Kota here today.
Mohamad who is contesting the Rembau parliamentary seat described the Chinese community as economic voters who will choose a government that can manage and develop the country's economy well.
He said the Chinese used their common sense in voting hence they know who can ensure economic prosperity for the country.
"During BN (administration), the economy grew well..and they could take part in economic activities," he added.
The Election Commission (EC) set polling day on Nov 19 and early voting on Nov 15. - BERNAMA
