SHAH ALAM - Four rivers each located in Pahang, Perlis, Sarawak and Selangor are at dangerous levels, as of 8am on Friday.

National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) said in a statement that it involved locations in Sungai Keratong on Jalan Kota Bahagia, Sungai Rompin in Pahang, Bukit Tok Poh and Sungai Perlis, in Kangar Perlis.

Also at dangerous levels are Longjegan Baram Miri in Sarawak, Sungai Langat at RS Station Batu 8 Kuala Langat and Pekan Meru Klang River in Selangor as recorded by the Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS).

In the meantime, Sungai Muar Tangkak and Sungai Batu Pahat, Batu Pahat Johor as well as Batang Rajang Mukah, Batang Krian Betong and Batang Suai Miri in Sarawak were recorded as being at warning levels.

Also on warning levels are several locations such as Sungai Padas, Tenom in Sabah and Sungai Kapar Besar Petaling, Sungai Selangor in Kuala Selangor and Sungai Langat in Kuala Langat, Selangor.

In the meantime, Nadma informed that a total of seven temporary evacuation centers (PPS) are currently open across the country with three of them each in Selangor and Johor and one in Kelantan.

Currently the total number of victims involved in floods stand at 658 people from 158 families.
