KOTA BHARU - “I was slandered!”

That was the reaction of Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to the slanderous allegations made by Perak Pas commissioner Razman Zakaria who said that the PKR president would promote the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) agenda, allowing same-sex marriage and supporting communist issues.

Anwar, when speaking in front of more than 1,000 attendees at Padang Tembak, Pengkalan Chepa, here, on Thursday said that he was slandered by Razman who is also a candidate for the Gunong Semanggol state legislative assembly seat.

"I remembered the late Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat texted me when I apologised for speaking rudely.

"He said, you can't be rude to people unless you are slandered. I was slandered! I have the right to answer to people like that," he said.

Anwar said that Razman's alleged slanderous speech during the 15th General Election (GE15) campaign was shameful and should not happen in politics.

He said the Pas leader, on the other hand, should preach with caution.
