In the meantime, Syed Saddiq who is also the incumbent of the Muar Parliament also urged all former ministers to declare their respective assets for the public to know.

"That's why it's important to declare this property so that the people know where the funds come from, whether it comes from the awarding of contracts, from ministerial positions, from the government, all of this can be traced. If we enter politics just for the sake of getting contracts, then don't enter politics.

"I know that after this there will be critics and I accept criticism with an open heart, suggestions with an open heart, but I hope that these criticisms and suggestions will also be conveyed to other members to declare their assets and property," he said.

In the meantime, Syed Saddiq said, all candidates from Muda who were contesting in GE15 would also declare their respective assets soon.

"I am the first candidate, for other young Muda candidates, they will start declaring one by one later," he said.
