Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd said in a statement tonight that the feeder buses were part of measures taken by Rapid KL, adding that the buses were deployed at stations along the LRT Kelana Jaya line to help control movement and provide direction to affected commuters.
"A total of 107 feeder buses covering five routes were used today, comprising buses from Rapid KL, Smart Selangor and MARA Liner. As of 5.30 pm today, the situation at the stations was under control, with the help of auxiliary police and additional Prasarana staff,” it added.
Meanwhile, Rapid Rail said its engineering team and those from the original equipment manufacturer Thales Group had begun carrying out tests to determine the system’s stability.
"From 10 pm yesterday until 5 am today, Rapid Rail carried out tests on the movement of LRT trains on the Kelana Jaya Line between the Ampang Park station and KLCC station. This test will be extended to include the entire Kelana Jaya LRT line,” it said. - BERNAMA
