Anwar declares assets worth RM11.2 million
SHAH ALAM – Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today declared his assets with a net value of RM11.2 million.
The bulk of his assets of RM10.4 million was from the ownership of four units of properties purchased between 2005 and 2022.
Among his property assets were land and a house in Segambut Dalam, Kuala Lumpur, worth RM9 million, which was purchased in 2005 in cash for RM4 million.
According to the document which recorded the assets declaration as of October 31, the property was purchased as a result of the sale of the house at Jalan Setiamurni 1 Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.
The other three property assets were land units in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, worth RM1 million; land in Bentong, Pahang (RM300,000); land in Seberang Perai Tengah, Penang (RM50,000).
Meanwhile, the total cash and savings assets of the Chairman of Pakatan Harapan (PH) among them were in financial institutions and investment accounts worth RM828,668.
Anwar, who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for Port Dickson, has an income of RM21,756.
Through the document, Anwar, also the PH candidate for the Tambun Parliament in the 15th General Election (GE15) this time was recorded as not possessing any assets in the form of vehicles, jewellery and artwork and debt commitments.
In GE15, PKR decreed that each candidate representing the party to declare their property.
